Ban on Abortion?

South Korea bans abortion.

Unwanted pregnancies are common. I don't think clamping down on abortions will increase birthrate. There's just gonna be more black market abortion clinics, where hygiene and real medical know-how will be scarce. (Imagine a person posing as a doctor just to earn a quick buck!)

I think abortions are ugly, and I'm definitely pro-life, in line with my beliefs as a Christian. But no woman should be forced to keep a baby. What do you think?

  1. such a gray area. sighs.

as someone who goes gaga over kids, i think that it's not fair that they have to suffer for the sins of their parent(s)?

someone who absolutely doesn't want to keep the child may change their mind later on but it'll be too late; adoption can be an option for those who do decide they don't want or cannot keep/raise the child..

as for.. erm.. rape victims. i think it boils down to their own choice. it's already an emotional, physical, psychological and even spiritual turmoil for them, and the death of an unborn child (or the birth of an unwanted one) can add on so much more stress that i believe no one can make that decision for them. something about duress (not quite appropriate) and sound mind may come into play here..

yeap. no woman should be forced to keep a baby. but doesn't mean the baby cannot live for that to happen..

just personal thoughts. not gonna comment more, so.. let's not let it turn into a discussion.. haha.. let's call it a discourse (:
